Day 1: Marrakech - High Atlas - Ait Ben Haddou - Ouarzazate - Dades Valley
Pick up at 8:00 am in the Hotel or Riad where they are staying in Marrakech. We will leave for the High Atlas through the port of Tizi N’Tichka. We will continue south, where we later turn off on a 6 km track that will take us to the fortified town of Ait Ben Haddou where we can visit its Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In this spectacular setting, films of such popularity as Gladiator or the Jewel of the Nile have been filmed ... Lunch in the village. Then we will continue to Ouarzazate, considered “the great door of the desert” and where La Kasbah de Taourirt stands out. We continue towards the Valley of the Roses, passing through the great palm grove of Skoura and Boumalne. We will deviate in Boumalne de Dadès, to enjoy the “fingers of monkeys”, a rocky landscape known as “the brain of the Atlas”. Then we will arrive at our destination. Dinner and accommodation in the Dades Valley.
Day 2: Dades Valley - Todra Gorges - Erfoud - Merzouga
After breakfast, we will visit the spectacular Garganatas del Dadès, enjoying the spectacular landscape that the road offers us. We will return to go on a road dotted with Kasbah, all of them different. We will reach one of the strong points of the South, The Todra Gorges. The channel of the Todra River has formed a gorge of vertical walls of enormous proportions, up to 200m of altitude, and of great beauty. It is the paradise of climbers and a unique place. Free lunch Then we will continue towards the desert through the palm grove of Tafilalet and passing through Erfoud until we reach the impressive Merzouga Dunes. Arrival at the hotel located at the foot of the dunes, where we will have a hospitality tea while we rest a little. Then you can walk through the fine sand of Erg Chebbi, relax and enjoy this stunning landscape. At night, you will savor a delicious Berber dish. Hotel accommodation.
Day 3 Merzouga - Nomadas - Khamlia - Dune Tour - Night in Carpa Nomada!
After an abundant Moroccan breakfast, we will go up to the 4 × 4 to get away from Merzouga and start our tour around the Erg Chebbi dunes, desert region populated with sand. Among the many stops that await us, we will discover how and where the nomadic families of the area live, wild oases in the middle of nowhere, spectacular landscapes, small desert villages, palm groves ... Inevitable stop as we pass through the town of Khamlia, of people Originally from Mali, which will make us enjoy a beautiful concert of Gnawa music, while we savor a delicious tea. Upon returning to the hotel, our dromedaries await us, with which we will depart towards the foot of the Great Dune of the Erg Chebbi desert. During the walk, about an hour and a half, we can observe the beautiful sunset, the contrast of colors and enjoy the calm of the dunes. We will arrive at the camp. We will savor an authentic Berber dinner and enjoy the music of the drums. We will sleep in a nomadic jaimas in the heart of the desert under the spectacular immense sky full of stars.
Day 4 Merzouga - Rissani - Ziz Valley - Midelt - Middle Atlas - Fez
We will wake up early in the morning to enjoy the spectacular sunrise in the dunes. Next, we will return to Merzouga with the dromedaries observing the spectacular landscape. After having breakfast and taking a shower at the hotel, we will begin our journey. We will go to Rissani, where we will walk through what is known as the most authentic and traditional souk in Morocco, and the largest in the south of the country, where it is traded with all kinds of artisanal products, food and animals. We continue towards Erfoud, the old desert gate, a city famous for fossil work, crossing the impressive Ziz Valley, with its more than 18,000 palm trees, until reaching Midelt. Stop for lunch. We will continue the road to Fez through Ifrane, also known as the Moroccan Switzerland for the aesthetics of its buildings. Arrival in Fez. Dinner and accommodation in Fez.
Day 5 Fez - Visit the Medina of Fez
Free day in Fez to know the city considered as the religious and cultural center of the country. Its university, famous for the study of Arabic and Muslim religion, is a crossing point for many Moroccan students. You will have time to walk around and get to know its different neighborhoods, the new zone or Fès el-Jdid, where you will find the Mellah (the Jewish quarter), the Ville Nouvelle (New Villa), French zone in the northeast of the city and of course, Fez el-Bali, the old area, within the walls. You can walk through its streets and feel how it transports you to past worlds in which potters, smiths, artisans and donkeys loaded with merchandise from various backgrounds live with tourists who travel their labyrinthine lanes. Also famous for the souk of the tanners, you can be part of the artisan procedure of medieval roots, through which they manage to give those vivid colors to the leather. Accommodation in Riyadh.
Day 6 Fes - Marrakech
After breakfast, transfer to the airport according to flight departure and end of the trip.
